Graeme Fraser talks about cohabitation on BBC Radio Wiltshire
Despite being the fastest-growing form of household in the UK and the persisting myth of common-law marriage, cohabitees enjoy no automatic legal rights.
When it comes to the end of a relationship, finances, especially property ownership, can create significant difficulties for cohabitees.
In order to raise awareness of the issue and the steps cohabitees can take to protect themselves, Resolution, the family law professionals group, which advocates a non-confrontational approach, organised Cohabitation Awareness Week, which took place last week.
To mark the end of the week, OGR Stock Denton Solicitors Partner, Graeme Fraser, also Resolution’s national spokesperson on cohabitation, appeared on the Marie Lennon Show on BBC Radio Wiltshire yesterday to discuss the legal rights of cohabitees.
